Every year, my use of "technology-in-the-classroom" evolves in ways that I hope will benefit everyone: students, parents, and yes, even me. One these is the online Parent/Guardian Contact Information form. This has replaced the paper form that students' parents or guardians complete biannually. Once the parents or guardians complete the form and submit it, the information is sent to me.

I've hosted a web site since 1996 for students to access files and assignments from home (or in the school) and it is constantly evolving. There are now more assignments, projects, and rubrics available; and the navigation is even more intuitive.

Another advancement I've made is integrating my electronic gradebook with an Android application that will run on my smartphone and tablet. This will allow me to hold the device in my hand and enter student marks, which will then be posted automatically to my gradebook. Then, in real time, I'll be able to email individual student marks to the email accounts that are associated with that specific student. Therefore, it is very important to ensure that the email addresses that you entered into the online Parent/Guardian Contact Information form be accurate.
