Possible Solutions: List as many possible solutions as you can for each trip choice.

Design Constraints: The following are some constraints or limitations for this project:
  1. You will work in pair; or alone.
  2. The assignment will be submitted in one week.
  3. You will prepare a professional proposal for each trip option (a group may choose a destination outside of the ones listed to pursue if it is first approved by Mr. Ferguson).
  4. The following items need to be accounted for:
    • personal information kit (i.e., documents and other paperwork you will require)
    • travel, accommodation, meal, and activity information during the trip
    • detailed budget
    • trip itinerary
    • who will go on this trip: children/adults? male/female? age?
    • home location: town, country
    • what will the actual travel time be?

    • duration of stay?
    • What type of accommodations are there: home, hotel, guest house/B&B, trailer, camping, hostel, family/friends, other?
    • What is the reason for trip: historical site, shopping, recreation, tour, educational visit, passing through, other?
    • How much will the trip cost?
    • do you need advanced tickets?
    • are there any all-inclusive travel/entrance tickets?
    • what level of facility do you plan to use?
    • what amenities must there be nearby? catering, shopping, information, travel, access, etc.
    • what is the level of cleanliness?
    • what is the attitude of staff towards visitors?
    • how much value for money is there?
    • how did you hear about the site? resources?
    • contingency plans including: supplies, emergency resources, alternate plans, weather, etc.
    • etc. …
Detail Design: The following are the steps to designing and making your Project:
  1. Develop all of the above for your trip.
  2. When evaluating the three trips, you will choose Paris as your destination.
  3. Clean-up your work area and put your tools away.

Materials: as required. Books, pamphlets, internet, etc.

Commissioning: Were you successful in this project when you tried it out?

Evaluation: Did this project work as you expected it to?

Reflection: Did you enjoy this project? What were you most proud of? What would you do differently next time? Skills learned?
